iPhone SE 2020 Features and Specs
Apple’s iPhone SE 2020 is a petite powerhouse that is built to achieve one goal – create a high-performance iPhone for an affordable price. If you have recently used an iPhone, you will notice a striking similarity with the 4.7-inch SE design.
The frame is complete with bezels from top to bottom, fitted with a home button and a built-in fingerprint scanner. It is lightweight and probably the best pocketable iPhone device you have seen before from the range of the iPhone 11.
Design and Display
The iPhone SE features the same design as the iPhone 8. The screen hardware and the form factor enabled Apple to keep the costs as low as they are given that it did not have to invest in a new manufacturing process. The only notable difference between the iPhone 8 and SE is that with this new model, the logo is centred on the back to rival with the current iPhones.
However, they both have the back and front made from glass while the sides and chassis are aluminium. In terms of quality and resolution, the SE screen is similar to that of iPhone 11. The colours are accurate, and the texts are sharp. Although it has some drawbacks such as the lack of a headphone jack at the bottom and a slightly dated technology, it is highly water-resistant.
The SE is rated IP67, which means it can withstand water when submerged for 30 minutes. It is available in three colours, including white, red and black. Apple may have adopted iPhone 8’s old design, but the SE has a lot of improvements. Unlike the iPhone 8, this one has a new A13 Bionic chipset for higher speed. The chipset has a positive impact on the camera in terms of performance, allowing it to take bright and decent photos.
While the design may feel more like an archaic choice, it makes sense in 2020. For users who do not mind much about having the latest features on their device, this familiar design might be quite desirable.
The Battery
Apple says that the iPhone’s battery lasts about the same time as that of the iPhone 8. The SE comes with a wireless charging system, a feature you will not find in most budget phones. It also sports support for fast charging, and this can replenish the battery in 30 minutes to 50 per cent. However, the SE does not feature an 18-watt charger. Instead, it comes packed with a slow 5-Watt alternative.
If you are in need of a decent iPhone but not top-end performance, you are looking at iPhone SE 2020. It will offer you a good camera, excellent app store to plunder, enough power and lightweight design.
